Privacy Policy

What we keep

• Your sign-in. You sign in with Google, through Firebase Authentication. That gives us your Google account's name, email address, and profile picture, and an account id.
• What you make. Your saved designs (the names you type and your choices), saved printers and filaments, uploaded logos, the files you buy, and your credit history.
• Payments. Stripe takes your payment and billing details. We only learn that a payment went through and which credit pack it was for. We never see your card number.
• Request logs. Each request to our servers is logged with your IP address, browser, the address requested, and your account id if you're signed in. We use the logs to keep the site working and to stop abuse, and they're deleted after about 30 days.
• Your free credit. To give one free credit per email address, we keep a one-way fingerprint (a hash) of your email that can't be turned back into the address.

In your browser

Your browser remembers that you're signed in, and the last printer you picked. A design's share link holds the design itself, so anyone you give the link to can see it.

We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which designs people try and buy. It sets cookies and sends Google the pages you visit, which templates you preview and buy, and your browser, device, and rough location (from your IP address). It never gets the names you type, your email, or your payment details. There are no advertising cookies, and we don't use it to show you ads.

In the EU, the UK, and Switzerland it stays off until you accept. Anywhere, you can change your choice with Cookie choices at the bottom of every page, or by clearing this site's cookies.

Who else handles it

We never sell or rent your data. These companies process it for us, only to run the service:

• Google Cloud and Firebase host the site, sign-in, your designs, and your files, in the United States.
• Stripe takes payments, as the merchant of record for your purchase.
• Google Analytics counts visits and what's used, as described above.

We'd share data otherwise only if the law requires it.

Deleting your data

Delete your account from your account page and we delete your designs, printers, logos, purchased files, and your sign-in. Two things stay:

• your credit history, for our accounts, under a random id that no longer links to you or your email;
• the fingerprint of your email, so the free credit isn't given twice.

Our database backups keep about a week of history, so deleted data is gone from them within 7 days. You can also delete a single logo from your account page at any time.

Children

Printable Names isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. A parent or teacher can make designs for them.
